Free genealogical information?
Where can I find birth records in Texas, 1900-present (to the 70 Later, actually) for free online. Web roots before it was purchased, made a list of birth information for free. In addition, any Louisiana can find birth and death free online (60 in?).
Free? Not that I know .. Tx descent has an index of birth, but not free. Really scratching their heads, they have a lot of things. Birth certificates are particularly vulnerable to identity theft and / or privacy laws, so it is strange they should have. Ditto for Louisiana, but I have no ancestors. All states restrict legal birth records for those of immediate cause (the person or the parents of a child).
