What does “Disposed” mean legally?
I was recently looking up the status of my friend’s legal case (public record), and it now says:
Type: Adult Misdemeanor
Status: Disposed.
What does disposed mean in this instance? (as opposed to dismissed) – Texas State.
It just means the case is closed. You will have to pull the case record from the courthouse to find out the disposition (conviction, dismissal, etc.).
