does anyone know of any work done to stop asbestos leakage into the surrounding land?
pa has the most leakage recorded by the epa, was wondering if there was a process or any research being done to try to help that problem?
ok realizing its a rock, there is leakage from the mines that have disturbed it… it passes through soil quite easily through the movement of ground water. What I want to know is if there is anyone addressing the problem of abandoned mines near the water supply?
Asbestos, just like lead, copper, and other species are regulated in the water supply. They have been for years. Asbestos from mines is a very minor concern compared to other things. THe EPA list can be seen at the reference.
