Is there a FREE, thorough public records search site?
Is there a site(s) which will give FREE, thorough info on public records? I need info on divorce records, house purchase, where a person currently lives… Also, is there any way to find out how much a person is earning? Thank you.
There is no central public record website and because of the Privacy Act of several governments most of the sites that did exist which had current records have been closed. You are asking for the type of information that the police or a private investigator would have access to and that would not be free.
You could go to the court house where the divorce was granted and obtain a copy of it, and to the country recorders office and get information on a specific piece of property. As far as someones earnings, that it almost impossible to get now, again because of the Privacy Act and laws associated with it.
The information you are interested in is not to genealogical research, which is the study of direct bloodline relations.
