i think i just fell victim of *72 scam, please help?
i had a call from a guy harris county jail, i accepted it cuz it was my work fone and just to see how scams are. the guy gave me a number and said to call her wife and give her a message to pick her daughter up from jail. starting from *72. i called the phone number first and asked for the name but it was a wrong number. then i thouht to try *72 knwing it was scam. but the call didn’t go thru. machine said please check the number bla bla bla.
do u think i fell victim of this scam and activated the call forward thing. do i need to do something.
i called from other phone it still rings though.
“If a consumer believes that he has just fallen victim to this scam, he can press “#73” or “*73″, depending on the service provider, to turn off the call forwarding”
