The house I am renting is going through foreclosure?
I received a notice last night that the house I am renting is going throught forclosure I looked it up on the internet and there is a case number and a Judge assigned to the case, The information I found in the public records says it was filed on 12/28/2007 the landlord has not told me nothing. I am not sure if the landlord is trying to work it out or not what should I do and If it was filed on 12/28/2007 in the courts how long do I have in my house, should I still pay my rent. I live in volusia county florida
You have to pay rent as long as you are living there. You will need to move 30 days form the court date, not the filing date.
The landlord has no legal obligation to tell you of his legal problems.
