How long can one county hold an inmate if the other county did not transport them for court date.?
My boyfriend was arrested for wake county and mecklenburg county but his bond was unsecured for meck county where we live. They were still holding him for wake county, he had a court date for today and they did not pick him up how long can they hold him?
I don’t know how it is where you live, but my boyfriend had to wait over a MONTH before the other county picked him up. He missed like 3 court dates because of it and then had to go and explain that to the courts cause they had a warrant out for him! U would think with him being in the system and all that they would KNOW where he was at. But they are so unorganized its ridiculous! They didn’t even give him time served because it was in a DIFFERENT county! Good luck to you and your boyfriend! Because of the stupid courts and system, he ended up missing our daughters birth 🙁 I know its hard, but he’ll be home soon…just call both jails, speak to everyone who will listen and explain to them the situation. Don’t just let it slide until THEY are ready. Cause he will get lost in the system.
