Informal Hearing Process in Macomb, MI?

Hello everyone. I am a resident of Macomb County, MI. A few weeks ago, I received a ticket for "Making ignored a red light" (All the standard of morality aside, the light was yellow, not not speed.) I have a clean criminal record without a ticket when I was a teenager, and I am an EMS response for the state. I did Call the ticket for an informal hearing, and I wondered how this works? I know that the court will send me a court date, but what I expect and / or say when the time comes? The only real thing I'm interested in scoring points. Thank you in advance for any constructive advice.

You will receive a notice for a hearing date and the date and the police officer to speak to a judge to hear both sides. If the official is not present, then you automatically win. If the file is good, it sounds like it is, the judge will likely reduce the burden of a preliminary point, but you will probably still have to pay a fine. Sometimes the fine is also less, but I know that the fines to be higher than the charge original. For a red light would be willing to bet that the agent never displayed, but make no mistake about it. Take your checkbook with you.
