Island County Property Taxes

The placement of a fence. How do I know if my research is correct? Who do I believe in regard to property lines?

I I take care of my neighbors, but I do not want a problem with my people (I live on Long Island, NY). My great property is a strange way, on a hill etc. Everyone is telling me that the golden rule is to put a fence eight feet from the street. The investigation that I was created by the previous owners and that's what the sale of the house is built on. Boys hired to investigate history just waiting to be sure, to rethink the brand and the area is very different from my original five-year investigation. The man says new study "is not an exact science. "I think", so why should I pay $ 600? ". I get a copy of the tax map of the county, but I wanted the opinion of others. Thank you for your help.

I would put the two surveys and the tax map of the town hall and ask the Commissioner to concerns about about the invasion. He will be able to inform you that the distances are setting up their posts in the street and neighboring properties. At the very least be presented with 2 or 3 different legal investigations that can guide you to your best course of action to obtain actual measurements make or accept. If indeed not an answer to this problem, then you should attend a council meeting to introduce the topic and is determined. As the pollsters pay if your drawing was incorrect (should have checked the tax records and was faster than using their services to put fences). I would be looking at the Court of Claims.
