Interracial couple denied marriage license in La. today, should people have the right to decide who you marry?
NEW ORLEANS – A white Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have.
Three same-sex couples were denied marriage licenses at the Hennepin County Courthouse on Friday.
No, no one should decide who you marry. Interracial marriages are NOT illegal. My parents are an interracial couple and were married for a long time. Denying interracial marriages for the children they might have should not be a concern at all. It doesn’t matter what race(s) they are. What matters is that the 2 people who want to marry love each other.
I know that same-sex marriages get denied many times because same-sex marriages do not involve the love a man and a woman have, which is what God wants for every human being. But, God loves those who are homosexual the same as he loves those who are heterosexual. We are all God’s children and he’ll always love us no matter what we do.
I believe if a person is in love with someone of the same sex, there is nothing wrong with that because its how they feel. I shouldn’t be a sin to feel this way. I believe people should choose who they love on their own and find a place to get married where they get full support for what they want.
