Gwinnett Court

I advised my wife to plea nolo contendre to one of her tickets for speeding and following too closely?

From what I understand if you plea nolo you don’t get any points on your record. I’ve haven’t been in Barrow Co. courts nor do I want to but I know Cobb courts like the back of my hand. I’m trying to find out quick because she goes this week for a speeding ticket for 17 miles over and next month for following too close in Gwinnett. I hope I told her right.

A judge must accept this plea in most traffic court cases the judge refuses to allow such a plea as it is not a right of the defendant.

All the defendant does is not contest the violation and accept the punishment and penalties of the court.

nolo contendre is only best served the defendant when a civil action regarding the violation is pending.
