Texas government public record
If the State of Louisiana paid Old Age Assistance, what department wrote the checks?

In the late 1930’s and until 1964 my grandfather received a pension check from the state of Louisiana. What would the name of the State Department that issued the checks be. Example the State of Texas called it The Department of Public Welfare. I found a dairy online from a man in Simsboro, written from 1927 till 1944, it was a daily record of who died, was born, the weather and what he did for each day. In that diary he mentioned “went to town to Ruston (Parish Seat) to pick up my $60.00 “Government Check”. There is not a record, to be found, of a Social Security number for grand father. He was born somewhere around 1865 to 1870, no birth records have been found. On his death Certificate there is not a SS number. All of our family records were accidently destroyed in 1983 and recently, while tracing our family tree, it was discovered that no one knows our Great Grand Fathers name.
If anyone can remember the State agency or anyone I could contact in Louisiana , Thanks

Jimmy, on the chance that someone comes up with info for you, after your question closes… your profile does not allow email, and they may not be able to reach you.
the death certificate should have a date of birth, which can be compared to earlier census records. If you use the birthplace(s) of the children, to narrow down what county he lived in, just prior to ww1… you may be able to locate a draft registration, with his place of birth.
Just for the record.. social security started in the late 1930s, not 1960s. A ss # may not have been required on a death cert in 1964, which does NOT prove he didn’t have one.
There are numerous avenues that you can search for info.

Texas public state

The state legislators in Austin are concerned with all aspects of education for the children in our state. Of course, we want to know that when we send our next generation of leaders to a public school in Texas that they are receiving the best possible education in math, science, humanities and the arts. This knowledge will allow our students to compete in the workplace and simply be well-rounded adults. However, there is another area of study that is currently on the mind of our elected state leaders and that is sex education. Is Texas providing its students with the best and most appropriate information when it comes to this controversial topic? Some members of the Texas state house think we could be doing better.

One of the bills being considered during this current legislative session is House Bill 1567, which would require all instruction concerning condoms and contraception to be “scientifically accurate.” This piece of legislation would not require schools to discuss condoms as part of the curriculum, but simply creates some standards if the topic is mentioned. According to the language in the bill, the information shared must be verified or supported by research, published in peer-reviewed journals if applicable, and recognized as accurate by relevant professional organizations. In other words, the gym teacher will not be allowed to assert as fact his own personal opinion concerning how long a condom can stay in a teenage boy’s wallet and still be useful.

Occasionally, you can follow the most reliable advice concerning contraception offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the American Public Health Association and still find yourself expecting a child. Today, there are several reasons one may want to run a Texas Arrest Records, or Criminal Arrest Records search on a variety of individuals. This can range from employment to dating and beyond. For, when one is going to hire someone, then one wants to find the most honest person one can find. In addition, if one has only recently met someone and needs to confirm the individual is acceptable as far as dating or potentially marrying, often one can perform a background check in order to assure oneself that there are no skeletons in the closet of the other party.
Also, while most all of these companies allow one to initiate a search for free, some do charge for even a people search. Still, even though some may charge such a fee, as private investigators charge by the hour and a service such as this charges a one time fee, one almost always saves a great deal of time and money by working with such a service. To this end, one can often locate or receive important information back more quickly by using one of these services.
Many companies actually use these services every day to perform background checks on applicants either after having received a resume or after having met with the individual in person. For, employers are more cautious today than ever after the recent increase in on-the-job drug abuse, theft and other office related crimes. To this end, one need always be honest on employment applications with regards to any previous issues related to employment, whether or not charges were ever filed.
With regards to the individuals who suggest that many of these companies are scams, to some degree this is true. However, if one finds a reputable company which uses a government registry to seek information through a background check, one is most often going to be working with a reputable firm this this regard. Therefore, one may want to look for a company with government registry somewhere in the name.
However, many of these companies are excellent service providers with regards to looking for an individual one may have been out of touch with for some time. Still, even though there are respectable companies in this regard, there is no denying that some are more professional than others. Regardless, if one is intent on finding an individual, one may want to give one of these services a try as most are far less expensive and take less time than going through a professional private investigation to do so.
Last but not least, in order to find a reputable search in this regard, simply type Texas Criminal Records, and Criminal Arrest Records into any search engine. Once the results are displayed, click on the one that most closely relates to the needs one has at the moment, whether that be a background search with regards to love, work, or to search for a long lost friend.
