Ill Property

Can the owner of the original work, a life interest to borrow money against property?

I have a house and land in Kentucky, which is valued at $ 110 000. The writing is free and clear with nothing to pay. Five years ago I was given life, a true family member, with all that back Back to me at the time of his death. I know this has nothing to do with the issue, but a family member had a terminal illness and can not live long, but need to know if it's possible for me to get a mortgage or on the property now.

You should be able to do so. You are what is commonly called the "residual." A mortgage company would be one that could tell you.
