Are housing records public?
I’m looking for a the name on the deed to a house. The telephone number and address is unlisted on white pages etc. I know the address and the land line phone number. However i want to find out the last name of the person that owns it. I know their stepsons last name but not theirs. Are housing deeds public record and can i find them on the web…….this is in ok btw.!

Yes, they are public. Many municipalities make them available online, some for free. For OK, go to http://www.oklahomacounty.org/ and check out the Online Services. You will need to go to “Mortgage/Deeds” or “Search Land Records”.
