is there a choice of local telephone service providers in the 805 area code,(simi valley,ventura,etc..)?
AT&T is a rip off
There were no alternatives when we lived there 15 years ago. Most of California uses area franchises, granted by the local governments. That eliminates the consumer’s choices. Your options are to get political, or to use an internet phone or a cell phone instead of a landline.
