Need advice on getting speeding ticket reduced?
I got a ticket for 50 mph in a 35 mph. The officer reduced the ticket from 55 mph to 50 mph and advised me to plead not guilty and show up in court. He said he would be there and get me something different than what was on the ticket. He asked me if I had a clean driving record. I said it was pretty solid. I did have a traffic violation for turning left out of a garage that had a sign a few months back. This was in the same county ( Westchester NY). I wanted to know if there is anything I could due to get the ticket reduced.
go to court and talk to Prosecuter first before you see judge. Ask to have it lowered or remove points.
Also the Trooper lied to you. If he was going to reduce it anymore he would have.
The prosecuter has the ball now and that is who you can sway. You may have to plead guilty to bargain but no points and a low fine would be worth it.
