How long can you be held in jail before seeing a judge? South Carolina?
My friend (16) got book on Wednesday, March 31. (Three days ago) I don’t think he’s seen a judge yet as I probably would have gotten a call from him after being sentenced. I think they had an arrest warrant for petty theft (petit larceny). I live in South Carolina. Columbia is my city. Richland is my county.
Shouldn’t he have seen a judge by now. Do people see judges on weekends?
he wouldn’t have been sentenced yet.
He has probably been to court, but perhaps bail was demanded and he couldn’t pay it.
