How do I get my property back from the police?
I was arrested and had my cell phone and rifle taken, the officer said it was a short barreled rifle which it wasn’t, and the case ended in nolle prosequi because the officer was a no show. The court date was on 8/21 and my lawyer hasn’t been able to get my property back but how hard he has tried I don’t know. I was wondering what recourse I have. This occurred in Prince Georges County Maryland.
It will probably cost you a dozen donuts, and 4 cups of coffee, that’s what I had to pay to get mine back in a similar situation.
