How do I know if a lien has been placed against property?
I need to find out if a property that I frequent has a lien recently placed against it or a loan taken out against it. How would I go about finding this information? I have checked the Department of Assessments and Taxation, but I fear that since this is a tax-exempt organization I may not be looking in the right place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am located in Queen Anne’s County MD.
Any liens against a property will be at the Department of Assessments – while a lien on record is the most secure way of securing collateral, there is no guarantee that if a loan has been taken out, the lender filed a lien.
