In Lycoming County PA what are the permits you need to build a house and approx what is the cost?
We are looking a a property that has an existing house that is in severe disrepair and will need to be torn down and a new home built. We are wondering what permits would be needed for this work we will be doing all the work ourselves. Also, anyone know the current price range for doing this sort of project on your own? The house would end up having a garage just big enough to put one car in and comfortably work on it and the house itself would be a two bedroom with a basement second floor iffy not necessary but could happen. You are kidding right? 3 days and this question is still on the top of the list? Count on $75 per square foot. If it is a remodel you probably don’t need a building permit, just a permit for the remodel. Go to the county and ask.
