moving to wisconsin?
My wife and I have decided to take a chance and make a change. We have decided that we would like to relocate to Wisconsin. My wife currently works a Public Safety dispatcher here in Rapid City, SD. The center she works for is know for being one of the number call centers in the world. So she have no problem finding work. As for me I currently work for the Pennington County Sheriffs office as a Drug and Alcohol Technician. This not where ultimatley want to be. My desire is to work in Law Enforcement. I realy don’t have a prefference City, County, or State. Whar advice can you give me about finding oppurtunities in this area. Over here the politics are so bad if you don’t know the right person or have some one who doesn’t like you, You have no Chance. Lately they have been hiring 21 year old kids with no life experience that they turn around and fire after 6 months. This has been going on for the past couple of years. Any way any advice would be apreciated.

To you and your wifes advantage Wisconsin has a very large government with Madison employing the most government employees. Based off of what you said I wouldn’t imagine either of you having any difficulty. If you really want to get into Law Enforcement I would go for it. You will probably first have to start out in a jail and work your way up from there.
