A friend of the family died suddenly, the city where she died sent her body for autopsy, who pays to return?
Someone died in Nassau County Florida, the body was sent to Gainesville for an autopsy. Now the autopsy is complete but they will not return her body. They said the family has to pay for the return trip. I think this is crazy, they took her they should return her. Anybody have any ideas about this? The family is asking for donations to cover the funeral cost and now they have this included. CRAZY!
uh…generally the body isn’t “returned”.
It is picked up by a funeral director as part of the cost of the funeral.
