Oswego County Property

Lawsuit for infringement of 2nd amendment rights. Need advice?

A little background. I am a Connecticut resident with a CT state pistol permit. I have a vacation home in Oswego County, NY. There is currently no reciprocity for pistol permits; I requested the paperwork to file for a pistol permit in New York as I pay School and Property taxes, but was denied as they will not issue to a non-resident. I requested a dispensation from the respective judge and he denied my request. I believe that I have a case as my 2nd Amendment rights have been denied. What would be my next steps? I have already written all of my CT and NY state and federal representatives. I have received the boilerplate “we appreciate your situation, but we cannot help at this time” response.

Please do not use this question as a way to express your anti gun feelings.
I am a lifetime NRA member and will ask them for assistance. Any additional direction is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, it would seem that your rights are being denied. But I would argue that you have no case, since you are not a resident of New York State, and you are dealing with a state law.

You also, and I hate to say it, have already assured your failure, by following all of the legal channels. You, would have a better chance fighting this in federal court if, you were being convicted of an unlicensed possession, which is considered a violent class b felony.

Here, is where the power of a jury serves to curb unconstitutional laws, but it relys on a pool of jurors, who are stead-fast, Intelligent, brainwashed, and above all have a true moral back bone. When unconstitutional laws are passed by the state or feds, it is up to the jurors to abolish the law. The power is in the PEOPLE.

You must first have a judgment or dispute brought against you to fight this though. Which you do not have. Instead you asked for permission. This shows your desire to relinquish your god given right to defend yourself, and exchange it for a state granted privilege, and they simply denied it. Case closed.

It is almost impossible to demand our constitutional rights when we surrender them on our own accord.
