County Recorder Maricopa

Am I responsible for the mortgage if my ex default on the mortgage loan that bears his name, my name in the title?

I divorced my ex-husband in April 2007. And the mortgage was refinanced in his name and just bought me and gave me my heritage and the environment, and later signed a quitclaim deed for him in May 2008. He declared bankruptcy and default on the mortgage property in September 2009 and his case was in late February 2010. For some reason, the mortgage company lost the quitclaim deed I signed up for two years since it was never registered with offices in Arizona Maricopa County Recorder. Now the company Mortgage asks me to sign a quitclaim deed to them, they told me that my name is still in the title of the property. I wish I knew that I must sign a statement as the mortgage company. And I am responsible for the violation of the mortgage if I join a quitclaim deed to your new company mortgage? I really appreciate your help. God bless you.

Since you are not on the mortgage, you are not responsible. He obtained a new loan with your name attached anywhere and which have been legally separated or divorced at the time. Come back, I could always call your divorce lawyer and ask his advice, but I imagine will not hurt to sign the release because they have no interest in the property anyway. It seems that all I do is cut their link with the property itself.
