Ak Court Records

How can you find out if a convicted felon had gun rights restored or report them having guns?

This person was convicted of drug trafficking – received a sentence of five years felony probation. That was more than 25 years ago. This person has many weapons in the house – ranging from hunting rifles to an AK-47. Where can someone find out if rights were restored? All the court records are available online, so it hasn’t been sealed or expunged. Where can this be reported to for investigation?
When it concerns a household where your minor children visit, it becomes your business. Don’t be so quick to make assumptions.

If you google 18 U.S.C. 922 ( Federal firearms act), it clearly states that convicted felons cannot own, possess, use or be in a household that has weapons. This is for life.

The only way a convicted felon can have his rights restored is through expungement or a Governor’s Pardon. If the court records are still showing on line, his records were not expunged.

Each weapon in his house carries a five year term under a charge of Weapons Under Disability ( also in the 18 USC). Your local Sheriff’s Department will investigate any claims made.

Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you
