The South = AL, AR, LA, TN, MS, GA, NC, SC, VA, WV, KY and 1/2 TX

Probably the worst thing that ever happened to this country was that the South wasn’t able to split off and form its own nation. The North could have been the good America that respected people’s rights, diversity, and science. The South could have just stayed bible-thumpin-racist and scientifically and educationally stunted.
