Kansas State Employee

I was recently suspended for a week from my job. Is it legal for my employer to tell the other employees why I?

was suspended and under what circumstances? I was wondering if this was legal at all? I live in the State of Kansas, and now I have fellow employees calling me asking how the entire situation went down, what were the circumstances, etc.
I feel embarrassed enough getting suspended, let alone everyone of my co-workers now knowing the reason behind it. Is there any legal ramification that I can take against my employer?
Thanks to anyone who can help me out on this matter!

NOT illegal and NOT even unprofessional (depending on how it is communicated)
it may even be prudent……… the employer needs to explain the consequences when there are issues at work, this could be a valuable tool to improve the entire operation. this information may have been communicated so those who are taking up the slack for you or are working extra to cover for you understand it is short-term and that you will be back. there are A LOT of reasons to communicate this information to your co-workers…………….
