I live on Catalina Island and would love to get a houseboat somewhere in LA county.?
Can anyone give me any advice on where to look for a cheaper houseboat. I’m looking for anything that could comfortably fit two people and our dogs. Something with all living amenities as well. Please only serious answers 🙂
Of course you should check any and all boating news publications that are in L.A. and Orange county as well as Craig’s List and The Recycler. But for a very good variety at one place, try doing a houseboat search on The Boat Trader and select “within 500 miles” and you’ll reach the Sacramento delta.
Sort the results by price and then weed out the ones that are 1/13 ownership or similar.
I see there are a couple on there now for under $15K.
